Bodegas Muriel Fincas de la Villa Crianza 2015 (Rioja, Spain) "...vanilla, coconut, roasted coffee..."
Aged for 12 months in oak barrels (60% American, 40% French) and another 12 months in bottle. 30% of the barrels are new.
Handpicked, mainly conducted from mid-September until the first week of October. The wine ferments for 15 days in stainless steel tanks with daily punching down.
Combines perfectly with tapas and cold meats and Iberian cured ham, pasta and rice recipes of meat, not cured cheeses, burgers and roast lamb or grilled meats and barbecue.
"A bright cherry color. Very fine ageing aromas (vanilla, coconut, roasted coffee), with notes of ripe red berries and licorice. The palate is wide, fruity and elegant, with a clean and pleasant aftertaste." - Winery Notes
