Cato 'La Primavera' Rose 2017 (Hilltops, NSW) "...ripe strawberry, baked apple, lemon peel..."
Gold Medal - Wine Showcase Magazine 2018
Jason and Alecia Brown began their search for a vineyard site in 2002, in order to pursue their dream of crafting world-class Shiraz wines. Jason’s love for finesse and vibrancy led the duo to the cool-climate Hilltops region in NSW. Even though the Moppity Vineyard was established in 1973, it took the Browns another decade or so to harvest the true potential of land – now producing juicy and lush grapes for award-winning wines.
“An Old World inspired rosé made from co-fermented nebbiolo and sangiovese, the complex bouquet shows ripe strawberry, baked apple, lemon peel and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that is beautifully rounded and supple. The wine offers delicate fruit power with a persistent dry finish. A gorgeous food wine.” – 93 Points, Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)
