Nashdale Lane 'The Social' Rose 2020 (Orange, NSW) "...raspberry, red currant, dry..."
The wine is made from a handpick of Nashdale Lane Shiraz (1654 clone) specifically chosen based on the perfect baumé, acidity and ripeness levels to deliver a Rosé with a perfect light pink hue, fresh raspberry and red currant fruit notes and deliciously dry style. It is delicate & dry with subtle notes of strawberry & a smooth, savoury finish.
The grapes were crushed and destemmed and allowed skin contact for 8 hours prior to pressing. The clarified juice was inoculated with an aromatic yeast and underwent a long, cool fermentation. Fermentation took 21 days after which the wine was racked and allowed to sit on fine lees for three months. The wine was then stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.
"Pale pink. lifted fresh red berry fruits – raspberry and red currant. Fresh raspberry, red currant, crisp, dry, balanced" - Winery notes
