San Polo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2012 (Montalcino, Italy) "...clove, dried herb, cinder..."
"A hit of ripe cherry fruit on the attack suggestive of a later harvesting regime despite the cooler vintage. The tannins, pliant, gently wiry and long limbed are coolish astringent. Lacking warm year concentration but conversely, equipped with a sachet of dried herb, clove, cinder and just enough fruit draped over the fine boned latticework, making for near-immediate appeal and delicious drinking." - 93 Points, Ned Goodwin MW
