Dominio de la Vega Bobal En Calma 2016 (Valencia, Spain) "...cherry, blackberry, vanilla..."
The Bobal En Calma is made from 100% bobal grapes, from vines with an average age of 45 years, cultivated in a traditional way. The vineyard is about 725 meters high and has a bottom of clay and limestone. The different levels of maturity of the grapes are closely monitored in the vineyards, so that only grapes that best represent the typical character of the fruit and the terroir are picked.
Maturation: 9 months on new, 225 and 500 litres, French and American oak barrels and then 9 months in the cellars of Dominia de la Vega.
"This delicious fruity and fresh Bobal En Calma is characterised by intense aromas of beautiful and ripe red fruits (cherries, blackberries, black currants) accompanied by notes of vanilla, toffee and spices. The wine is beautiful cherry red in color with purple hues and has a nice structure in the mouth. Fleshy, juicy, fresh, fruity and smooth."
