Mt Bera Vineyards 'Running with the Cows' Tempranillo 2017 (Adelaide Hills, South Australia) "...blackberry, mocha, earth..."
Mt Bera Vineyards produces high quality single-vineyard estate grown wines. Their focus is on biological and regenerative practices and are a family-run business. They have a large range of reds and whites, with something to please everybody’s taste buds! From the beautiful Adelaide Hills between Cudlee Creek and Gumeracha.
Dedicated to our hand raised Jersey cows, complete with their horns. This is a reflection of the biodynamic growing practices and the central role the cow and the moon take in managing fertility in a sustainable way. After being fed by our children, the calves would run with the kids around the paddock. Once at full size and seeing someone in the paddock they would come barrelling down the steepest hills to see you. A bit scary when in winter they could slide for nearly a hundred metres towards you! However, a much better option in my opinion than running with a bull hoping not to be gored…
"Let the good times roll. Such an effortless, easy-charm drink; all cola, cherries, sweet spice and turned earth in character. Sloshes into the palate some generosity but the variety's inherent starburst of acidity takes that to task. Charisma in spades, drinkability right up there and, yet, still kind of fuller flavoured. Nice one." - 93 Points, Wine Business Magazine
