Opawa Pinot Noir 2018 (Marlborough, New Zealand) "...plum, strawberry, clove..."
On the Opawa farm just off the "golden mile" site the classic Rapaura gravels absorb the sun's warmth during the day, radiating back onto the grapes by moonlight thus creating the intense aromatic flavours for which Marlborough is so highly reputed.
"A medium bodied and beautifully balanced Marlborough Pinot Noir. The nose shows attractive notes of ripe plums and wild strawberries with a hint of cloves and spice. The palate displays supple red fruit flavours and soft, fine tannins. This wine has an elegant structure, silky texture and juicy acidity to give freshness, and it closes in a lingering finish." - Winemaker's remarks
