Rosily Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 (Margaret River, Western Australia) "...blueberry, olive, spice..."
Clear, bright, deep red / purple with a crimson hue. Strong varietal definition including blackberry and cassis fruits with well-integrated cedary oak. Medium to full-bodied wine with typical sub district blueberry, olive, mint and spice characters. A dried herb finish is well supported by fine grainy tannins and French oak. Enjoy on release or cellar for eight to ten years from release (November 2018). - Winery Notes
Reviews for the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
"Rosily's wines represent superlative value across a sensitive winemaking hand. The oak (16 months, 40% new French) is well positioned to chaperone a flow of red and blackcurrant notes, dried sage, bay leaf and olive, along a bed of gravely tannins, moreish and ripe. Bitter chocolate. Mid to full weighted with an accent on savour rather than overt fruit, the finish is nicely firm. 95 points." - James Halliday, 2019 Australian Wine Companion.
"I was the odd man out with the 2015, which didn't really grab me, but this wine does. It's a younger version of the lovely 2014, with ripe but restrained blackberry fruit framed by cigarbox oak and infused with bayleaves and olives. A fine line of firm tannin shadows the wine through to the long finish; great balance and length, this wine has a big future ahead of it. If you drink it now, decant it and give it time to breathe. Real class here. 95+ points." - Kim Brebach, bestwineunder20.com, January 2018
