Silent Way Chardonnay 2016 (Macedon Ranges, Victoria) "...winter fruits, oatmeal, spice..."
Silent Way is a plot of earth 550 meters above sea level in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria. Purchased in 2007 by Matt Harrop and Tamara Grischy with their three children, Jai, Ivy and Sofia. Love and friendship nurtured this plot into a home and a small vineyard.
The wines produced are in small quantities, express the soils they are grown in and are styles we love to drink.
Why the name Silent Way? One of their favourite albums; In a Silent way was recorded by Miles Davis in February 1969. It is regarded as a masterpiece and one of the most inventive recordings of all time.
"This pretty Silent Way Chardonnay displays a light straw colour with a bright green rim. This wonderful Chardonnay offers an attractive bouquet and lush palate, full of vibrant characters of red and green pears and apples, oatmeal, and spice. These aromas and flavours culminate in a captivating and lingering finale. Drink this delightful white wine with butternut squash and porcini mushroom risotto, or goat cheese."
