The Wilson Vineyard 'Polish Hill River' Riesling 2009 (Clare Valley, South Australia) "...lemon, lime, steely..."
The Polish Hill Riesling from Wilson's is an amazing example of age worthy Riesling. In youth it is a complex mix of ripeness, texture, tightness and structure, yet with age the underlying fruit power builds and absorbs all that wonderful acidity to produce a long lived wine of freshness and length.
"A delicious wine, the fragrant bouquet and lively palate with a mix of lemon and lime fruit; the low pH and (relatively) high acidity guarantee a long life, but it does not need cellaring for any particular time." - 95 Points, James Halliday
"A very individual style, upfront lime-like fruit and pronounced steely acidity." - 91 Points, Rob Geddes MW
