Rollick Wines 'Friends Wednesday' Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 (Barossa Valley, South Australia)

$55.00

'Friends Wednesday' is crafted from grapes sourced from the renowned Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley. A deliberate contrast to 'The Vice' Shiraz that we make out of the other side of the region in Eden Valley, 'Friends Wednesday' displays the boldness that Barossan Shiraz is typically known.

100% matured in French oak hogsheads for 15 months with 20% new and 80% seasoned

Handpicked grapes were destemmed into open top fermenters before undergoing a warm fermentation for 7-10 days, with gentle plunging and pumping over before being pressed to French oak. The wine was then matured in 100% French oak of which 20% was new, before being blended and bottled. This bold wine is ready for your drinking pleasure!

"Deep crimson with violet hues. Fragrant aromas of blue and blackcurrant fruit, entwined with layers of red liquorice and spicy clove. The concentrated palate displays rich flavours of spicy blackcurrants, liquorice and plum with nuances of black pepper and cedary oak tying it all together. The fine rolling tannin provides great structure and balance leading to a long and persistent finish." - Winery notes
